Valerie Tschida (born 1987 in Graz-Umgebung) is a graduate of the HTBLA Ortweinschule in the Department of Plastic Design and completed her studies in Art History at the Karl-Franzens-University in 2012.
Her further career led her to the Graz Theater Service, where she worked as a stage painter for several years. In spring 2019, she founded "upTown Art," an exhibition and networking space in the heart of Graz, which she has been running with commitment and esprit ever since.
She sees her artistic expression as an opportunity to build bridges of communication. "Art has the ability to deeply touch and move people! It is a pure expression of the soul and thus a powerful means of communication."
Through her work, she aims to invite people into a fantastical world—a world where reality is relative, the subconscious guides the brush, and integral processes define the design. For her, art is a tool for personal development and self-knowledge, which impacts both the artist and the viewer.
