Right of withdrawal
Distance contracts between consumers and sellers acting as traders generally carry a 14-day right of withdrawal.
Withdrawal period
The period is fourteen days from the day you or a nominated third party receives the goods. Before it expires, direct your clear statement to the seller named with the work and in the order confirmation, preferably through your order account. You may also send it to michael@uptown.art or the postal address in our legal notice; as a receiving agent appointed by the seller, upTownArt forwards the statement to them without delay.
Effects
The seller reimburses payments received, including the least expensive standard delivery offered, within fourteen days of receiving withdrawal. The seller may wait until the goods or dispatch evidence are received. upTownArt processes the refund on the seller's behalf through the original payment method. You bear direct return costs unless agreed otherwise.
Exceptions
The right of withdrawal also applies to already-existing original artworks; they are not excluded merely because they are unique. The right does not apply to handcraft produced only after your individual choices or clear personal specifications where that makes the item personalized or otherwise difficult to resell. The applicable exception and relevant customization are clearly identified before the order is placed.
Model statement
To the seller named in my order confirmation: I hereby withdraw from my contract for: [artwork]. Ordered/received on: [date]. Name and address: [details]. Date: [date].
