Chris Royce (Christine Österreicher, born in Graz in 1959) lives in Traiskirchen, Lower Austria. She studied art education (MEd) and has worked with art and different materials since 1976. Her painting brings abstract realism together with natural and architectural subjects, textures, and the interplay of light and shadow. Chris sees her paintings as an invitation to contemplation. She deliberately does not assign artistic titles: viewers are free to bring their own experiences and feelings to each work. Her work was also shown at upTown Art in Graz in 2026.
